If you can handle a monohull sailboat, chances are you'll have no problem handling a catamaran. We make it even easier for you to familiarize yourself for the first time with catamaran sailing covering jibing, tacking, anchoring and general catamaran sailing. Upon arrival at the base a one to one familiarization and chart briefing will be conducted on your yacht. Below is information on the level of sailing knowledge and experience needed to captain a VOYAGE catamaran. We look for you to be able to document sailing experience on a yacht of similar size, similar type and in similar conditions to those where you would like to charter.
For insurance reasons you need to have captained a similar size and type of vessel before and be able to provide proof.
If you would like to hire a professional captain the fee is $125 a day. The captain needs a cabin and to share a head. |
