Bella Vita Crew
Both Mickey and Alix love the outdoors and spend their time off the water in the mountains backpacking, snowboarding, and hiking. On the water, though, Mickey enjoys both free diving and scuba diving. He has a Dive Master Certification and loves to take guests exploring below the surface. For the more experienced divers, he will be happy to show them wrecks and dive sites throughout the islands. For the kids and beginners he’s an experienced and wonderful teacher who will be more than happy to help as much or as little as is preferred.
While Alix also enjoys time spent in the water and is improving her diving every day, her true passion lies in the kitchen. Alix has been cooking since she was old enough to reach the stove and loves to try new foods as much as she loves to make them. Her cooking is also very reflective of her travels as both Alix and Mickey make a point to pick up spices along the way that showcase regional flavors and national culinary traditions. When she’s not cooking, Alix loves to head to shore to enjoy the beautiful local beaches and hikes that the Virgin Islands have to offer. She is always more than happy to show her guests around or even teach them a thing or two in the kitchen if they’re keen.
Guests can count on Mickey and Alix to have the hot spots in the islands dialed in. The islands are rich with hidden hideouts and floating bars, and this pair knows them all. Whether you want a week filled with adventure, a relaxing retreat for you and your family, or a romantic time on the water for you and your partner, Alix and Mickey will make sure that you wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread, that your meals are beautiful, fresh and local, and that your week is quite literally smooth sailing.
