Collin, originally from Pittsburgh, PA - Colin grew up boating on the rivers and lakes of Western Pennsylvania. After completing his Bachelor of Arts in History at Slippery Rock University, his travels began by moving to Japan to teach English.
Upon returning to the states one thing was clear - all future classrooms were going to be beside the ocean!! A Divemaster internship in the Bay Islands of Honduras the following year ultimately transformed what was ahead. It was also during this time that Colin reignited a passion for photography through underwater adventures.
After going Pro with Padi in Roatan, Colin found himself missing the cool island breeze and laid back lifestyle only the Caribbean offers. He packed up and moved to St Thomas in the Virgin Islands in 2008.
The first two years in the VI he spent his time freelancing in diving and photography, working with local dive shops leading dives and taking thousands of photos at events, weddings, and of the island beauty. The Virgin Islands were "Home".
Colin started taking diving and boating more seriously. "Walking the Path" - the next several years of accruing credentials through various Captain Schools and furthering his Scuba education ensued. He worked with the award-winning Boss Tour (submersibles) onboard a 65ft working vessel called Prince of Tides, accruing sea time towards his 100ton Master's license. His next transition lead him to St John, where he enjoyed teaching scuba diving with Cruz Bay Watersports. Seeking an opportunity for more British Island adventures, he then took a Captain position with Nauti Nymph Powerboats and Magic Moments Yacht Charters. The freedom of being able to deliver a custom itinerary and 5-star experience for each of his guests was the profession that truly called to Colin.
Kirsten grew up in from Cape Town, South Africa. Living at the ocean, being on a yacht and near the water is in her blood. She enjoys life outdoors and partakes in a range of sports including wake-boarding, skiing, stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling, running and rock climbing. However, her greatest love is kayaking which she has pursued seriously for 18 years.
Her love for cooking started in her ‘teen’ years. She has a passion for cooking healthy flavorful foods and also enjoys baking and experimenting with new recipes. She worked closely with a chef in Cape Town catering for high end clients and has also gained experience working on yachts in the Mediterranean. Kirsten enjoys using fresh ingredients and prides herself in the presentation of her dishes. She is also very well versed in gluten free, paleo, vegetarian and vegan diets and will tailor her menus to suit the preferences of the guests.
Now that Colin will be the captain and Kirsten the chef on Pegasus, you will find them delivering a 5 star experience, leading unique underwater adventures, and sharing the island lifestyle with their guests as much as possible...
Kirsten with her positive. energetic nature and love for people can't wait to serve her delicious meals to enhance an excellent charter experience.
